Join us Saturday, June 1st, for LifeWalk 2024, and raise funds for LifeHouse Care to make a difference in our local community!

We are a deductible gift recipient, with all donations over $2.00 tax deductible.

What is LifeWalk?

LifeWalk is LifeHouse Care’s annual community fundraiser, where we gather at Gallows and walk our beautiful Boambee Beach, side by side with other locals who care about seeing positive change in our community.

Our mission at LifeHouse Care is to work for the peace and wellbeing of our community. We are a local, home-grown charity who believe in meeting people where they are at, and offering assistance towards their next step forward.

The greatest challenge for vulnerable families and individuals is the rapidly increasing cost of living, especially in the most basic essentials. So this year, 1/2 of all funds raised are being allocated for the direct practical assistance of vulnerable people struggling under these pressures. The other 1/2 of funds raised will enable us to continue to provide the array of crisis support we've provided the Coffs Coast since 1996.

Together we can do something to address the issues that are impacting more and more of our local people every day.

There are three ways you can get involved in LifeWalk.

  • Sign-Up to Walk with us on the day, we’d love to see your beautiful faces!

  • Jump on and Register to fundraise as an individual or as a team

  • Generously Donate to provide practical essential needs for individuals and families in our local communities (tax deductible)

Thank you for supporting LifeWalk 2023

LifeWalk 2023 achieved a significant milestone with your invaluable support and the collaborative efforts of our community members. Together, we successfully fundraised and acquired a Sleepbus for our Coffs Coast community!!

FAQs

Is my business donation tax deductible?

Absolutely! LifeHouse Care is a registered charity with a DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient), so all donations are fully tax deductible. You will automatically receive a tax receipt for your donation.

Can people of all ages be a part of LifeWalk?

Yes, all ages and walks of life are welcome to join the walk. Walkers walk at their own pace.
LifeWalk is held on Boambee Beach, so for babies and infants, a baby-carrier would be encouraged rather than a pram.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, we love all fury friends. As this beach is a council-designated off-leash dog beach, due to the nature of the event and participant numbers, we are asking anyone who brings their dog to please keep them on-leash at all times.

How do I go about fundraising?

Step 1. Register! Follow the prompts and you will receive a Fundraising Pack (your very own social media sharing link and an email with fundraising ideas!

What if it rains?

As long as it is safe, we will continue. Though if needed, we do have a contingency plan in place and will contact you.

How do I get back to my car?

It would be ideal if you could arrange to be dropped off at Gallows car park and picked up from Boambee Bay Reserve, however, we will be providing a complimentary shuttle service from Sawtell Road Bus Stop (by Boambee Bay Reserve) back to Gallows car park.

How will the community be helped through the funds raised?

Funds raised will be focused in continuing the support LifeHouse Care provides in our community through our CareHouse in Earl Street, Coffs Harbour.

  • This year 1/2 of all funds raised are being allocated for the direct practical assistance of vulnerable people struggling under cost of living pressures in our community

  • The other 1/2 of funds raised will enable us to continue to provide the array of crisis support we've provided the Coffs Coast since 1996.

Can I participate as part of a group?

That’s a great idea! Making it a group gig is a great way to enjoy time together while contributing to the wellbeing of our community. You can walk with your bestie, work mates, gym buddies, Aunt Mavis, or your fave furry friend!

What should I bring on the day?

Just bring your amazing self ready to walk 6.8 kilometres!

The less you have to carry the better, but obviously hat and water bottle are a good idea.

At the Boambee Reserve end of the event there will be a sausage sizzle — including a vegetarian option 😉, and a celebration!

I don’t have much time to fundraise, can I still be involved?

Totally!

You can help out on the day. Email us at info@lifewalk.org.au, and we can chat about ways you can help out.

We would also love it if you could come say ‘Hi!’ at Boambee Reserve and learn more about what LifeHouse Care is all about.

Alternatively, you can still fundraise and donate!
